Bulgarian Retirement Age to Rise to 65 by 2020

14 May 2012 (PLANSPONSOREurope.com) – The retirement age for both men and women in Bulgaria is to increase to 65 by 2020, according to the Minister of Labor and Social Policy.

Minister of Labor and Social Policy Totyu Mladenov, said on Bulgarian National Radio: “In 2017 the retirement age for men will increase to 65 and by 2020 the pension age for women will reach 63, i.e. each year the retirement age and length of service will each increase by four months for both men and women. They will become equal after 2020.”
