Lockton Enters UK Market

29 August 2012 (PLANSPONSOREurope.com) - Insurance, risk management and employee benefit specialist Lockton is to enter the UK employee benefits market with a view to building a full-service capability by 1 January 2013.

The new employee benefits unit will be led by Mike Tyler who joins Lockton on 1st October. Mike joins from the UK division of global benefits business Buck Consulting, where he was Managing Director, and previously COO of Mercer in the UK.

Julian James, Lockton's Chief Executive in London said: "Lockton has significant and established benefits businesses in the USA, Latin America and Asia which contributes approximately $250m of revenue globally. So entry into the UK market is a strategic and logical progression."
