Martijn Tans to Speak at PLANSPONSOR European Conference

31 August 2011 (PLANSPONSOREurope.com) – The Director of Aegon Global Pensions is to speak on a panel discussing ‘DC Investments - Annunities, target-date funds and the shape of things to come’ at the inaugural PLANSPONSOR European Conference in Barcelona October 25-27th. 

Tans has over 15 years experience in the financial services industry. After graduating from Rotterdam’s Erasmus University with a degree in Econometrics, he worked in the quantitative research and consultancy unit of Dutch asset manager Robeco. He moved to AEGON in 1999 and since then has occupied a number of positions in marketing and product and business development. 

Tans has spearheaded several initiatives, such as AEGON’s efforts to develop the new ‘Levensloop’ savings accounts in the Netherlands. In April 2006, he joined AEGON Global Pensions as Director of Marketing and Product Development.
