Firms Jointly Launch New Roth Site
June 23, 2009 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Convergent
Retirement Plan Solutions of Brainerd, Minnesota, and
Archimedes Systems, of Waltham, Massachusetts, have jointly
launched a Web site, RothRetirement.com, to help educate
consumers about the 2010 Roth IRA conversion.
A news release said the site includes a library of
short educational clips on the 2010 Roth IRA conversion,
a compendium of nearly 100 frequently asked questions, a
consumer version of the Roth IRA Conversion Optimizer
calculator, and links to additional online Roth articles
and resources.
"Thanks to changes in federal tax law,
millions of American taxpayers will gain access to the
Roth IRA conversion option beginning in 2010," said
Ben Norquist, president of Convergent, in the news
release. "With retirement confidence at an all
time low, the decision of whether to convert a portion of
one's retirement savings to a Roth IRA is arguably
one of the most crucial decisions many investors will
make in the foreseeable future."
According to the announcement, the knowledge and
technology behind the new site may also be licensed by
financial services companies.
The adviser version of the Roth IRA Conversion
Optimizer calculator was launched in March 2009 and is
available in a branded, turnkey format as well as in a
fully customized format. In addition, Convergent
offers an integrated suite of Roth-focused business
development tools, including adviser and consumer
workshops and educational content, the announcement
said.
