Pension Liabilities Increases for Statnett

24 August 2012 (PLANSPONSOREurope.com) - Statnett has seen its pension liabilities increase to NOK 312m in the first half of 2012 up from NOK 295m in the same period last year, according to the Norwegian power supplier’s Q2 results.

The results also reveal wage costs increased by NOK 29m in the second quarter of 2012 compared with the corresponding period in 2011.

The group attributes the increase to an increase in pension costs resulting from changes in actuarial assumptions in pension calculations. Meanwhile there has also been an increase in staff throughout 2011 as a result of increased activity in development projects, operation and maintenance.
