July 28, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – Mercer has announced the appointment of Seth Turner as Absence Management Market Leader for its U.S. Outsourcing business.

In this new position, Turner will be responsible for all business development activities for Mercer’s absence management administration solution. He will report to Kerry Sain, U.S. Sales Leader for Mercer’s Outsourcing business.

Turner brings more than 15 years of experience to the role, eight of which were spent at Mercer before he joined Reed Group, where he served as Business Development Manager and Senior Adviser. Turner began his career with Hewitt Associates, where he served as a Project and Unit Manager, overseeing large benefits-related client projects. He earned his Master of Business Administration at Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

“We are pleased to welcome Seth and his absence management knowledge and experience back to Mercer,” said Rich VanThournout, U.S. Total Benefits Outsourcing Business Leader for Mercer’s Outsourcing business, in the announcement.
