UK Public Sector Workers to Strike Again Over Pensions
08 May 2012 (PLANSPONSOREurope.com) – Thousands of UK public sector workers are set to join strike action in a row over pensions this Thursday.
Civil servants, lecturers, health workers, Ministry of Defence staff, immigration officers, off-duty police officers and members of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary are set to join the action.
Today Ian Rennie, General Secretary of the Police Federation, called for on off-duty officers to attend the action this Thursday.
Rennie said: “It is important that you help us influence both the future of Police Pensions and the wider debate on the government’s policing agenda and it
s detrimental impact on the service by attending the march in London on 10 May.”
