Tuesday, the Dow gained 98.27 points (0.29%) to close at 33,684.79, the Nasdaq fell 52.48 points (0.43%) to close at 12,031.88 and the S&P 500 fell 0.17 points (0.00%) to close at 4,108.94. The Russell 2000 increased 14.15 points (0.80%) to close at 1,786.59 and the Wilshire 5000 increased 44.07 points (0.11%) to close at 40,640.03. 

The price of the 10-year Treasury note fell 1/32, bringing the yield to 3.428%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond rose 23/32, bringing the yield to 3.623%.
