The Russell 2000 closed 5.69 points (0.36%) higher at 1,585.47, and the Wilshire 5000 gained 154.22 points (0.45%) to finish at 34,632.24.

The price of the 10-year Treasury note was up 2/32, decreasing its yield to 0.687%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond increased 3/32, bringing its yield down to 1.435%.
