Yesterday, the Dow decreased 19.04 points (0.09%) to 20,052.42, the NASDAQ slipped 3.21 points (0.06%) to 5,663.55, and the S&P 500 was down 4.86 points (0.21%) at 2,292.56. The Russell 2000 lost 11.18 points (0.81%) to finish at 1,366.66, and the Wilshire 5000 closed 63.30 points (0.26%) lower at 23,989.49.

On the NYSE, 3.1 billion shares traded, with 3 declining issues for every 2 advancing issues. On the NASDAQ, 3.0 billion shares changed hands, with 1.7 decliners for every advancer.

The price of the 10-year Treasury note was up 15/32, decreasing its yield to 2.415%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond increased 23/32, bringing its yield down to 3.055%.
