Monday, the Dow rose 358.67 points (0.86%) to close at 42,297.12, the Nasdaq fell 73.53 points (0.38%) to close at 19,088.10 and the S&P 500 rose 9.18 points (0.16%) to close at 5,836.22. The Russell 2000 rose 5.17 points (0.24%) to close at 2,194.40, and the FT Wilshire 5000 Index rose 103.88 points (0.18%) to close at 58,574.71.

The 10-year Treasury note decreased 1/32, bringing the yield to 4.781%. The 30-year Treasury bond decreased 24/32, brining the yield to 4.962%.
