The Russell 2000 rose 24.83 points (1.13%) to close at 2,219.24, and FT Wilshire 5000 Index rose 134.57 points (0.23%) to close at 58,709.28.

The 10-year Treasury note was unchanged, bringing the yield to 4.791%. The 30-year Treasury bond decreased 5/32, bringing the yield to 4.987%.
