This is the lowest level for initial claims since December 6, 1969 when it was 202,000. The four-week moving average was 220,500, a decrease of 2,750 from the previous week’s revised average of 223,250. The average interest rate for a 30-year fixed-rate loan is 4.52%, down from 4.53% one week ago, according to Freddie Mac. Apparently, after eating all the other fish in the point, the 4.9-foot catfish turned to eating baby ducklings. In Harrow, London, a woman heard loud noises outside her home and called police to report a possible burglary. Officers responded and found some knocked over items, but concluded that the perpetrator was a “rogue squirrel.”
