Friday, the Dow was up 51.47 points (0.19%) at 27,192.45, the NASDAQ climbed 91.67 points (1.11%) to 8,330.21, and the S&P 500 increased 22.19 points (0.74%) to 3,025.86. The Russell 2000 gained 17.52 points (1.12%) to finish at 1,578.97, and the Wilshire 5000 closed 250.96 points (0.81%) higher at 31,146.36. The price of the 10-year Treasury note was virtually unchanged, with its yield at 2.074%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond was up 3/32, decreasing its yield to 2.595%. WEEK’S WORTH: For the week ending July 26, the Dow was up 0.14%, the NASDAQ climbed 2.25%, and the S&P 500 increased 1.65%. The Russell 2000 gained 2.01%, and the Wilshire 5000 finished 1.76% higher. |
