Construction spending during May was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1,925.6 billion, 0.9% above the revised April estimate of $1,909.0 billion, the Census Bureau reported. The May figure is 2.4% above the May 2022 estimate of $1,880.9 billion. 
MARKET MIRROR
Monday, the Dow rose 10.87 points (0.03%) to close at 34,418.47, the Nasdaq rose 28.85 points (0.21%) to close at 13,816.77 and the S&P 500 rose 5.21 points (0.12%) to close at 4,455.59. The Russell 2000 gained 8.05 points (0.43%) to close at 1,896.78, and the FT Wilshire 5000 Index gained 72.23 points (0.16%) to close at 44,955.84.

The 10-year Treasury note decreased 1/32, bringing the yield to 3.858%. The 30-year Treasury bond decreased 1/32, bringing the yield to 3.869%.
