Employees Want Congress and Employers to Help Them With Retirement Readiness
The Prudential American Workers Survey found 68% percent are concerned that they will not have enough saved to live comfortably in retirement. Seventy-seven percent of Americans think Congress should do more to expand access to retirement plans. Eighty-three percent of American workers favor making it easier to save for retirement, and 69% think policymakers should support solutions that convert savings into an income stream. Wednesday, the Dow was down 32.14 points (0.13%) at 25,625.59, the NASDAQ closed 48.15 points (0.63%) lower at 7,643.38, and the S&P 500 decreased 13.09 points (0.46%) to 2,805.37. The Russell 2000 was down 5.93 points (0.39%) at 1,522.23, and the Wilshire 5000 lost 142.93 points (0.49%) to finish at 28,967.77.


The price of the 10-year Treasury note increased 12/32, bringing its yield down to 2.382%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond climbed 1 5/32, decreasing its yield to 2.820%.
