Monday, the Dow rose 1,160.72 points (2.81%) to close at 42,410.10, the Nasdaq rose 779.43 points (4.35%) to close at 18,708.34 and the S&P 500 rose 184.27 points (3.26%) to close at 5,844.18. The Russell 2000 rose 69.12 points (3.42%) to close at 2,092.20, and the FT Wilshire 5000 Index rose 1,874.73 points (3.32%) to close at 58,420.57.
The 10-year Treasury note decreased 7/32, bringing the yield to 4.474%. The 30-year Treasury bond decreased 1 2/32, bringing the yield to 4.918%.
