Friday, the Dow rose 331.99 points (0.78%) to close at 42,654.74, the Nasdaq rose 98.78 points (0.52%) to close at 19,211.10 and the S&P 500 rose 41.45 points (0.70%) to close at 5,958.38. The Russell 2000 rose 18.56 points (0.89%) to close at 2,113.25, and the FT Wilshire 5000 Index rose 436.54 points (0.74%) to close at 59,535.57.

The 10-year Treasury bond decreased 4/32, bringing the yield to 4.484%. The 30-year Treasury bond decreased 31/32, bringing the yield to 4.954%.

In the week ending May 16, the Dow rose 3.29%, the Nasdaq rose 6.67% and the S&P 500 rose 5.01%. The Russell 2000 rose 4.27%, and the FT Wilshire 5000 Index rose 5.02%.
