Today, the Census Bureau will report about construction spending for March. Tomorrow, the Bureau of Labor Statistics will reveal job openings for March and the Census Bureau will report revised core capital goods orders and factory orders for the month. Thursday, the Department of Labor will report initial jobless claims for the week ending April 30.

Friday, the Dow lost 939.18 points (2.77%) to close at 32,977.21, the Nasdaq was down 536.89 points (4.17%) to 12,334.64, and the S&P 500 fell 155.57 points (3.63%) to 4,131.93. The Russell 2000 was down 53.84 points (2.81%) to 1,864.19, and the Wilshire 5000 dropped 1,534.51 points (3.58%) to 41,343.97.
For the week ending April 29, the Dow decreased 2.47%, the Nasdaq fell 3.93%, and the S&P 500 lost 3.27%. The Russell 2000 was down 3.94%, and the Wilshire 5000 finished 3.42% lower.
The price of the 10-year Treasury note decreased 8/32 bringing its yield up to 2.929%. The price of the 30-year Treasury note dropped 1 31/32 bringing its yield up to 2.994%.
