Tuesday, the Dow fell 216.73 points (0.55%) to close at 38,852.86, the Nasdaq rose 99.09 points (0.59%) to close at 17,019.88 and the S&P 500 rose 1.32 points (0.02%) to close at 5,306.04. The Russell 2000 fell 2.82 points (0.14%) to close at 2,066.85, and the FT Wilshire 5000 Index fell 35.23 points (0.07%) to close at 53,152.88.
The 10-year Treasury note decreased 28/32, bringing the yield to 4.547%. The 30-year Treasury bond decreased 1 4/32, bringing the yield to 4.660%.
