Wednesday, the Dow fell 112.93 points (0.40%) to 27,821.09, the NASDAQ closed 43.93 points (0.51%) lower at 8,526.73, and the S&P 500 decreased 11.72 points (0.38%) to 3,108.46. The Russell 2000 was down 6.72 points (0.42%) at 1,591.57, and the Wilshire 5000 lost 103.15 points (0.32%) to finish at 31,655.95.
The price of the 10-year Treasury note increased 25/32, bringing its yield down to 1.747%. The price of the 30-year Treasury bond climbed 31/32, decreasing its yield to 2.209%.
