Monday, the Dow rose 87.13 points (0.25%) to close at 34,663.72, the Nasdaq rose 156.37 points (1.14%) to close at 13,917.89 and the S&P 500 rose 29.97 points (0.67%) to close at 4,487.46. The Russell 2000 rose 3.60 points (0.19%) to close at 1,855.14, and the FT Wilshire 5000 Index rose 287.85 points (0.64%) to close at 45,229.30.

The 10-year Treasury note fell 2/23, bringing the yield to 4.290%. The 30-year Treasury bond fell 28/32, bringing the yield to 4.376%.
