Methodology

For the eighth annual PLANSPONSOR Participant Survey, we partnered with data service provider Dynata. The online questionnaire was completed between October 4 and October 13 by 1,197 individuals who were ages 23 and older. The resulting sample includes a mix of individuals with and without access to a defined contribution (DC) plan and was balanced to capture meaningful totals across key demographic attributes—i.e., gender, income, education, etc. Additionally, this year we gathered insights on the use of fintech products. The margin of error of the aggregate results is estimated to be +/– 3%. —PS
