2024 Plan Sponsor of the Year
PLANSPONSOR is pleased to announce the 2024 Plan Sponsor of the Year finalists.
The PLANSPONSOR Plan Sponsor of the Year annual awards program recognizes retirement plan sponsors that show an exemplary commitment to their participants’ financial health and retirement success. The award is given in many categories to recognize all plan types, so any plan sponsor can be eligible.
Nominations are made in December and January; finalists are announced in April and winners named in June. Nominations may be made by providers, advisers, consultants, actuaries, attorneys, third-party administrators, employees or colleagues. Plan sponsors may also nominate themselves. All nominees are then asked to officially enter and complete an online application form, supplying details about their plan’s administration, participant statistics and data, and reason they feel their organization should win our award. Only sponsors that complete the form are considered in the finalist selection.
The number of finalists selected depends on the number of entries in each category. Entries are judged both against other nominees in the category and on the basis of optimal practices specific to each plan sponsor’s industry. Given the number of entries we receive each year, there are plan sponsors with compelling stories that do not get chosen as finalists. We reach out to those sponsors for plan profiles, and we encourage any plans that were nominated to consider applying again in the future.
The 2024 awards are presented in 10 categories to allow for the most accurate comparisons across plan types and sizes:
