Paychex Snaps Up Fla. Software Firm
April 13, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Paychex a payroll
and HR services provider has acquired Stromberg, a Lake Mary,
Florida company offering time and attendance software for
mid- to large-sized businesses, Paychex announced.
Reported by Fred Schneyer
Stromberg’s products include time and attendance, employee self-service, scheduling, and other workforce management programs. This isn’t the first time the two companies have had contact; In October 2003, Paychex acquired Stromberg’s Time In A Box product, a Windows-based time and attendance program for small- to medium-sized businesses.
All Stromberg employees will be offered employment with Paychex. The transaction was structured as an acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Stromberg by a wholly owned subsidiary of Paychex.
