Aon’s recent move expands the firm’s line of crisis management capabilities. With the expansion, Aon will provide clients with diagnostic techniques to identify and measure the costs associated with aggression in the workplace and will work with clients to develop effective policies and procedures to identify and mitigate these risks, according to a news release.
According the research complied by the center, workplace aggression contributes to hidden hard costs for companies that in some cases total 4.8 days of lost productivity, per employee, per year, as a result of absenteeism created by aggressive coworker behavior. Additionally, employee aggression can result in:
- high turnover
- presenteeism – a warm body in a seat, but not much else
- passive aggressive behavior
- decreased employee and customer satisfaction
- loss of morale and motivation
- loss of employee loyalty to the company.
