2020 DC Survey Standouts

13 providers received the highest marks when, nationwide, sponsors of defined contribution plans of all sizes answered questions about their satisfaction with recordkeeping providers, in the 2020 PLANSPONSOR Defined Contribution Survey.

Nearly 2,400 responses were received and tabulated; 13 companies each accumulated the greatest number of service awards in the survey’s six main asset classes, ranging from micro plans, with less than $5 million in assets, to mega plans, with more than $1 billion in assets. All honorees are listed below; the parenthetical numbers are the number of Best in Class (BIC) awards received.

The survey results relating to provider satisfaction were published in the December 2020–January 2021 issue of PLANSPONSOR magazine and online in January 2021. Industry data from the same survey appeared in the October–November 2020 issue of the magazine and may be viewed in the 2020 DC Survey: Plan Benchmarking. 

The companies will be recognized at the 2022 PLANSPONSOR Excellence in Retirement Awards dinner. This networking event celebrates the accomplishments of “the best of the best” in the retirement plan industry. This year’s dinner will be part of the 2022 PLANSPONSOR National Conference, to be held at the JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes, in Orlando, Florida, in June.
