Great-West Adds VP of Government Markets

February 27, 2013 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – Great-West Financial has appointed John Borne vice president of its Government Markets business in the Western Region.

Borne will focus on public-sector retirement services, sales and relationship management in a nine-state region across the Western U.S. He is based in San Diego and reports to Brent Neese, vice president of Government Markets. Borne replaces Kent Morris, who retires March 1 after nearly 30 years with the company.

Before joining Great-West, Borne spent 10 years with Nationwide Retirement Solutions, most recently as managing director. Borne earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Southeast Missouri State University. He holds FINRA Series 7, 66 and 26 licenses, as well as a Certified Retirement Counselor designation, and is a member of the National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators (NAGDCA).
