Mercer Pay Equity Calculator Could Aid OFCCP Compliance

Mercer Human Resource Consulting claims its Pay Equity Calculator can help companies comply with new pay equity standards released by the Labor Department agency that monitors federal contractors for gender and race discrimination.

The new standards released on June 16 by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance requires federal contractors to implement a review process to prove they monitor pay. According to a Mercer release, before the new regulations, many companies doing business with the federal government often ignored regulations requiring them to evaluate pay equity, with little fear of retaliation by the agency.

The calculator can help companies monitor pay equity and minimize the burden to federal contractors, as well as help them meet compliance obligations, Mercer said in the release.
