Morningstar Snags Federated as Online Advice Client

September 10, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Federated Investors will provide online advice to its 75,000 retirement plan clients through Morningstar's ClearFuture product.

In its Monday announcement, Morningstar Associates said ClearFuture will be available to Federated’s 450 retirement plans through Federated’s Retirement Services unit.

choose their own mutual funds based on ClearFuture’s asset allocation guidance
receive specific investment recommendations from Morningstar.

Either way, investment guidance is based on the fundamental portfolio analysis made possible by Morningstar’s database of more than 35,000 mutual funds, stocks, variable annuities, closed-end funds and separate accounts.

Morningstar ClearFuture is available through more than 9,100 corporate retirement plans throughout the US. The service offers research, education, investment guidance and/or advice to all levels of investors.
