Online Job Market Bustles in April
May 21, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The world of online
job hunting was red hot in April as applicants flocked to
online employment Web sites in enormous numbers, an Internet
audience measurement service said.

The hottest site during the month was Headhunter , which saw traffic skyrocket a whopping108% to 2.9 million visitors, according to Nielsen/NetRatings, Reuters said.
Salary.com also glowed fiery red with a 96% traffic jump to 1.1 million visitors.
Other popular job sites included:
- USA Today Careers Network , which grew 45% to 508,000 visitors,
- Monster.com , which jumped 33% in traffic to 9.9 million, and
- Job.com , which posted a 29%-gain in traffic, reaching 817,000, according to NetRatings
“With news of an economy on the recovery, traffic to career development and job-hunting sites rose in April. More surfers are turning to the Web to research employment opportunities and to learn about job-hunting tricks and strategies,” said Kim Pillon, Internet analyst at NetRatings, told Reuters.
