AllianceBernstein names a new president; MissionSquare hires fixed-income head; and more.

AllianceBernstein Names New President

Onur Erzan

AllianceBernstein named Onur Erzan president, a role previously held by CEO Seth Bernstein. Erzan will partner with Bernstein on firmwide strategy and corporate development while continuing to oversee private wealth management, global distribution and private alternatives. Erzan joined the firm in 2021 after more than 20 years at McKinsey & Co.

Segal Appoints New CEO

John DeMairo

The Segal Group Inc. appointed  as president and CEO, effective January 1. DeMairo succeeds David Blumenstein, who now serves as chair of the board. A 35-year veteran of the firm, DeMairo most recently led Segal Marco Advisors, the firm’s investment consulting arm. 

MissionSquare Hires Head of Fixed Income 

Yulia Alekseeva

MissionSquare Retirement hired as head of fixed income. Alekseeva joins from Barings, where she led consumer asset-backed finance and managed approximately $25 billion in assets.

Shari Hensrud

MissionSquare also promoted Shari Hensrud to chief investment officer. Hensrud’s experience includes investment management in both public and private markets—including stable value and alternative investments.

Envestnet Appoints Sue Burton As Chief Marketing Officer

Envestnet Inc. appointed Sue Burton as chief marketing officer. Burton will lead global marketing strategy across brand, communications, demand generation and digital experience. She previously served as senior vice president of marketing, digital and member experience at Digital Federal Credit Union and held senior leadership roles at Bank of America, JPMorganChase and Fidelity Investments. 

Retirement Advantage Promotes India Troyer to CFO

The Retirement Advantage Inc. promoted India Troyer to chief financial officer. Troyer previously served as director of finance and accounting and has more than 18 years of experience in finance and managerial accounting.

Troyer will oversee the company’s financial strategy and operations, driving growth and enabling ongoing innovation.

Former Federal Officials Join Groom Law Group

Groom Law Group, Chartered added six former federal officials to its health, tax and fiduciary practices, including attorneys and advisers from the Department of Labor, Department of Health and Human Services, Internal Revenue Service and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.

The additions include Amber Rivers, formerly with the DOL; Michelle Koltov, formerly with the Department of Health and Human Services; William Fischer, formerly with the IRS; Brandon Ford, formerly with the IRS; Joshua Fruto, formerly with the IRS; and Gabrielle Graves, formerly with the PBGC.
