Some Temporary Help, From Fidelity

July 25, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Leveraging their experience in managing their own temporary employees, Fidelity Investments has extended its reach into the human resources business.

For the mutual fund giant, it is the latest in a series of moves into providing human resource functions and tools.  

The group has launched a new company developed to provide mid-to-large-sized corporations with on-site expertise to manage all their temporary employment needs.

The new company, called Veritude, will cover every aspect of the hiring and management process for business, technical and administrative professionals.

Services provided by Veritude include:

  • Sourcing
  • recruiting and assessing talent;
  • background checks; payroll; and coaching and career development.

The company also provides Web-based analysis and reporting tools to assist clients in the management of both costs and temporary labor.

Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts will be the company’s first client.
