Transamerica Hires Western Regional VP

October 18, 2010 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Transamerica Retirement Services has hired David Ravarino as regional vice president in the company’s Western Region.

Ravarino will be responsible for all sales activities and distribution in California’s Central Valley, including Sacramento, as well as in northern Nevada. He will be based in Concord, California, and will report to Michael Wannell, Transamerica’s divisional vice president for the Western Region.  

According to the announcement, Ravarino’s background includes more than nine years of high level retirement plan sales experience with a consistent record of surpassing sales objectives. Most recently, he served as a regional sales director for Hartford Retirement Plan Services, where he was responsible for the sale of qualified plans and maintaining broker and third party administrator relationships in Northern California.

Ravarino received his Bachelor of Science in economics and business administration from Saint Mary’s College of California.
