Edward Jones Hires Vanguard’s Data Chief

Ryan Swann joined Edward Jones Investments as the firm’s chief data officer, following more than five years as Vanguard’s principal and chief data analytics officer. Swann announced the appointment on LinkedIn on Monday.

“Edward Jones has an outstanding reputation for putting clients first, and I couldn’t be more excited to partner with such a talented, client-focused team to drive value, innovation, and impact through data and [artificial intelligence] in this next chapter,” Swann wrote in a post.

Prior to Vanguard, Swann served as chief data officer at Collibra and head of data management and governance at E*Trade, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Aon Appoints Global Chief Commercial Officer

Aon PLC, a professional services firm, has appointed Jane Drummond as global chief commercial officer, effective January 1, 2027. Drummond will report to Andy Marcell, deputy CEO and senior executive vice president of risk capital and human capital, and serve as a member of Aon’s Chicago-based executive committee.

Drummond will succeed Anne Corona, who was named CEO of North America for Aon in March.

Drummond will lead Aon’s global market strategy, sales and growth across global solution lines and lead its global growth committee. Drummond joined the firm in 2009 and brings more than 25 years of industry experience to the role.

Sage Mountain Names Danica Griffith Chief Growth Officer

Sage Mountain Advisors LLC, an independent registered investment adviser based in Atlanta, appointed Danica Griffith as chief growth officer, a newly created role. Griffith will oversee the firm’s growth strategy, recruitment efforts and advisory team.

Griffith joins the firm after nearly seven years at PNC, where she most recently served as executive vice president and chief risk and change officer. Earlier in her career, she spent more than a decade at Goldman Sachs, where she worked in private wealth management. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Sage Mountain, founded in 2018, reported advising on more than $8 billion in assets as of June 30.
