NYLIC Appoints New Retirement Income Leader

November 9, 2005 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - New York Life Insurance Company (NYLIC) has announced that Paul Pasteris has joined the company as senior vice president over Retirement Income.

In its press release, NYLIC said Pasteris will be responsible for directing the company’s retirement income business which provides products and services to help address retirement income needs.

Ted Mathas, executive vice president and co-head of US Insurance Operations said in the release, “Under Paul’s seasoned leadership our goal is to provide solutions that will help consumers, during every stage of life, achieve the peace of mind that guaranteed lifetime income can provide.”

Pasteris is joining NYLIC after a 17 year career with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. For the past two years he was president of MassMutual’s Financial Products Division.
