Lincoln Announced New Ed. Effort

October 4, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Fort Wayne-based Lincoln Financial Group has unveiled a new customized retirement education program labeled LifeSpan - Taking Retirement Personally.

According to a Lincoln news release, among the program’s highlights are that:

  • Lincoln works with each plan sponsor to customize an education plan for their employee population
  • A national network of retirement professionals is available to meet participants one-on-one at their workplace at no additional cost
  • Lincoln makes available seminars, small-group presentations, print materials and Internet resources for a program geared to individual learning styles. Internet resources include proprietary retirement planning tools and Morningstar Guidance Online.

Another highlight of the new program is a certification process for all Lincoln retirement professionals. It requires demonstrated proficiency as a retirement planner using LifeSpan learning program tools and extensive experience working with plan participants. Additionally, each retirement professional is required to pursue industry designations in retirement and financial planning.
