Nuveen to Launch Seven New ETFs

July 30, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Nuveen Investments plans to launch seven municipal bond closed-end exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in September.

The seven funds, registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission, are:

· Nuveen Dividend Advantage Municipal Fund 3
· Nuveen California Dividend Advantage Municipal Fund 3
· Nuveen Georgia Dividend Advantage Municipal Fund
· Nuveen Maryland Dividend Advantage Municipal Fund 2
· Nuveen Michigan Dividend Advantage Municipal Fund
· Nuveen New York Dividend Advantage Municipal Fund 3
· Nuveen Ohio Dividend Advantage Municipal Fund 2

ETFs have increased in popularity as alternatives to mutual funds. ETFs trade throughout the day just like ordinary shares, in comparison to mutual funds, which are priced once a day, after regular trading ends at 4pm.

Salomon Smith Barney will serve as lead manager of these new funds.
