December 11, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Participants
in plans administered by ExpertPlan, an online plan
administrator for financial institutions, can now opt for a
self-directed brokerage window (SDBW) through an agreement
with Ameritrade.
Reported by Fred Schneyer
According to a news media announcement, ExpertPlan participants opting for Ameritrade’s brokerage window can allocate their 401(k) or 403(b)(7) balance among a range of investments, including mutual funds, stocks, and bonds.
The Ameritrade Retirement Account features a paperless account opening process and an online trading window tailored to 401(k) permitted investments, the announcement said.
