American Express Adds to Partners Fund Series

December 3, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - American Express Financial Corporation has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for two new sub-advised mutual funds slated for launch in March 2002.

The funds will be sub-advised by independent asset managers and will carry the AXP Partners brand. The funds are:

  • AXP Partners Select Value Fund, a multi-cap equity fund to be subadvised by Gabelli Asset Management Company
  • AXP Partners Small Cap Core Fund, a small cap equity fund to be subadvised by Pilgrim Baxter & Associates and Wellington Management Company.

The American Express Partners mutual fund series currently consists of five funds that invest in the value and international areas of the market.

The funds’ assets are either subadvised by a single subadviser or multiple subadvisers managing equal portions of the fund.
