It's Official: Kramerich Confirmed as Asst. Secretary of Labor

December 21, 2000 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The U. S. Senate has confirmed Leslie B. Kramerich as assistant secretary of labor for the Pension and Welfare Benefits Administration.

Kramerich had been acting assistant secretary since last December.

In that role, Kramerich oversees more than 6.7 million employee benefit plans with assets totaling more than $4.9 trillion. She is responsible for carrying out administrative, policy, enforcement and regulatory functions under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).

Prior to joining the Labor Department, Kramerich had been with the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation for five years.

Kramerich graduated from Case Western Reserve University and earned a Juris Doctor from Ohio State University College of Law in 1984. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar, District of Columbia Bar and the American Bar Association.
