Hewitt Inks BPO Deal with Thomson Corporation

February 4, 2005 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Hewitt Associates has landed a five-year contract with The Thomson Corporation to provide HR business process outsourcing (BPO) services.

The announcement was made in a press release issued Friday, and noted that Hewitt will provide certain HR BPO services in areas of benefits, compensation, payroll, learning and development and recruitment. The services will be provided for 28,000 Thomson in the US.

Officials for Thomson stated that the company chose Hewitt because of its “deep HR content knowledge and process experience.” They hope Hewitt will help them improve and standardize processes as well as reduce costs.

Thomson ( www.thomson.com ) is a global integrated information solutions provider, while Hewitt ( www.hewitt.com ) is a human resources outsourcing and consulting firm.
