AIG to Offer Vision Insurance Product

February 16, 2005 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - AIGs Domestic Accident and Health Division has announced the launch of AIG Vision Care, a new insurance program designed to aid companies in strengthening their benefit packages with vision coverage.

The program aims to deliver a range of eye-care programs that give flexibility by offering alternative program structures, including multiple provider networks and varying levels of benefits, according to the company. As a voluntary program payable through convenient payroll deductions, companies can obtain group rates for their employees’ vision insurance.

In the program, insureds will be reimbursed for any claims originating from a visit to a nonparticipating vision service provider. Coverage may also be extended to spouses and dependents of an insured, according to the company, and can also be paid for by employers.
