Bonde to Co-Head ING Hedge Fund of Funds Group
Bonde joins the firm from Commerzbank Capital Markets Corp., where he was Co-Head of Alternative Investment Strategies, New York for the firm’s international hedge fund of funds business and was a member of the Investment Committee.
Before starting his financial career, Bonde served in the U.S. Navy until 1991 as a Naval Officer in SEAL Team. Subsequently he held positions at Smith Barney’s Global Energy Group, and Cowen and Company, where he established their private equity group.
According to a press release, Bonde will work closely with joint Co-Head, Harold Yoon, as ING expands its Hedge Fund of Funds business globally. Both report to Paul Gyra, Head of Alternatives.
ING Investment Management, the primary investment arm of ING Group, offers a variety of multi-strategy, diversified fund of hedge funds products with distinct return and volatility profiles, including strategies specializing in emerging managers and Asia Pacific managers.
