Standard Gets Nebraska 403(b) Nod

April 14, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - National Insurance Services (NIS), working in cooperation with the Nebraska Council of School Administrators (NCSA) and the Nebraska Association of School Boards (NASB), has selected The Standard to be the provider of the Nebraska Sole 403(b) Provider Plan.

The State of Nebraska has 285 Independent School Districts that will have an opportunity to participate in the new sole provider 403(b) plan.   The Standard will be assisting NIS in the creation of an education program for the Nebraska school district, and NIS will be hiring a full-time employee solely dedicated to service the Nebraska 403(b) plan.  

National Insurance Services is headquartered in Brookfield, Wisconsin.   According to a press release, the firm has provided employee benefit products and services for over 35 years.   NIS currently insures over 1,500 public-sector employers representing over 500,000 employees.
