Insurance Provider Launches 'Worth for Women' Calculator

July 13, 2009 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company has unveiled an online calculator designed to help women measure their economic value, taking into account items such as childcare and homemaking.

A news release from the insurance provider said the calculator is part of a broader program that includes brochures, a newsletter, seminars and other communications efforts to allow advisers to better craft a financial plan for women.

“We would urge all women to go to www.worthforwomen.com , and use our Worth calculator as a first step in getting a true financial evaluation of their own worth. But most importantly, we believe that they should seek financial planning help from a financial professional who is knowledgeable about the long-term needs and goals unique to women,” said Eileen McDonnell, executive vice president and chief marketing officer for Penn Mutual, in the announcement.
