ATTENTION DEFICITS?   Mothers always seem to feel a special responsibility for their children - and new research seems to offer yet another reason to worry.   A new study, which appears in the July issue of Epidemiology, claims to have found a connection between misbehaving children - and the cell phone usage patterns of their mothers.  MORE at http://www.planadviser.com/research/article.php/2627

Dick Clark began hosting Bandstand in July 1956 (yes, before it was picked up nationally).  

However, Bandstand began as a local program on WFIL-TV (now WPVI), Channel 6 in Philadelphia on October 7, 1952.  The original host was  Bob Horn - and the original name - Bob Horn's Bandstand.  Dick Clark got the job after horn was fired by the station following a drunk driving arrest.
