ADP Beefs Up Times & Attendance Program

August 23, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - ADP Employer Services on Monday unveiled the latest version of its ezLaborManager system, an online time and attendance program aimed at small and mid-size businesses.

With the latest release, ADP’s ezLaborManager can now be integrated with ADP’s Internet payroll system, Pay eXpert.

“ezLaborManager enables clients to further streamline the time and attendance and payroll process by automatically updating employee records through a single interface,” said Robert Thomas, Division Vice President, ADP Time & Labor Management Services, in a news release. “This seamless integration lets clients both record time and complete the payroll process faster and more accurately. This allows them to focus more time on strategic business needs.”

The new version gives clients the ability to project and reconcile payroll, allowing them to pay employees for the current week based on projected hours worked, the company said. Payroll adjustments based on actual hours worked are automatically calculated following the pay period, and can be accepted or rejected online by employers.

In recording work hours, the company said employers can use electronic time clocks or a Web-based employee timesheet to capture this data. As employee hours are collected, ezLaborManager can be set to apply company policies, such as the pay rate for hours collected above or below a specified level.
