Since the initial release of the service’s “dashboard” in February, ADP has continued to refine and enhance the service as new ACA information and guidance has become available, the company says.
Enhancements to the dashboard address:
- Applicability: Allowing employers to assess their work force and determine if ACA compliance requirements for shared responsibility impacts them. A Full-Time Equivalency Calculator portrays the annual number of full-time, and full-time equivalent, employees including an assessment of hours credited. This can help employers see if they are an applicable large employer.
- Eligibility: Employers can proactively track and manage their work force and see individual views of employees’ ACA benefits status and hours credited to determine full-time status. Also provides visual alerts for employers that let them know when they may be subject to penalties (and the potential cost of the total penalty) for noncompliance.
- Affordability: Enabling employers to assess affordability of coverage through historical data (Box 1 of W-2 earnings) or to forecast affordability based on rate of pay to ensure the premium does not exceed 9.5% of the employee’s taxable income.
