Advisor Research Tool Launched

May 31, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Plan sponsors who work with financial advisors may now be better able to comparison shop, thanks to the first phase of a new 401(k) Web site for use by affiliated Financial Advisors of Raymond James & Associates.

This first phase, the Raymond James 401(k) Vendor Guide, offers Financial Advisors online access to an analysis of 58 unique 401(k) packages offered by 25 different service providers.

RJ Search 401(k), the second phase of the project, is expected by the end of summer.  That phase is being developed with PlanAnalytics, and will allow Financial Advisors to conduct plan-level comparisons among the providers in the system based on a ratings system designed internally by the Raymond James consulting staff.

The site features also make it possible for Raymond James Financial Advisors to run customized comparisons of product administration and investment expenses, as well as create client-specific due diligence reports.
